Original Watercolor "Oyster Shell"

Did you know that Hilton Head's waters are some of the richest oystering areas along the Atlantic coast! Fall and Winter are when the harvesting happens. This particular oyster was a delicious lunch appetizer I decided to take the shells home and study all the nooks and crannies and hope to translate it into a painting.  Here is the result.

300 lb Arches Watercolor Hot press paper, winsor & newton watercolors.My original watercolor paintings are not sealed or treated, so I recommend hanging or displaying out of direct sunlight to ensure the painting does not fade. 

We use only high-quality, watercolor papers
