This original watercolor painting is of the "Little Blue Boat of Hilton Head" an abandoned sailboat off the only bridge onto the island that was visible for three years very close to the bridge. After a tropical storm, Little Blue and its anchor were miraculously swept unharmed under the low bridge to lodge on a piece of marsh just on the other side. This little boat during its time in the water lost its mast and became a social media phenomenon with social groups discussing its impact on everyone that traveled the bridges each day, becoming a symbol of perseverance and hope for everyone who looked for it each day! The little boat was finally removed and it is hoped that her new owner has exciting things in store for her.
I used Arches 300 lb watercolor cold press paper.
