Feeling Fluffy, Roseate Spoonbill, Original Fine Art Watercolor Painting, 20.5 x 30

Whenever I spot a roseate spoonbill I try to stop and take as many photos as possible.  When you catch them preening their beautiful pink feathers it's mesmerizing.  This one spoke to me when I was visiting Pinckney Island.   The background is not painted and some photo's took on a pink glow, I think from the painting itself.  I used 300 lb hot press Arches watercolor paper along with Winsor & Newton paints.

The background is pure white.  Some images may look like the background is darker, but it is pure white.
