Islander's Beach Blue Heron, Original Fine Art Watercolor Painting 14.5 X 20.5

I just loved painting this one.  Islander's Beach on Hilton Head Island is our "go-to" beach for biking, girl time walks & talks, reading a book, having a cocktail while enjoying time with friends and watching the sunset.  It is rich with ocean life scattered on a low tide beach, or during turtle nest season viewing the markers where eggs had been laid and are under close watch my locals.  Love seeing our local birds like this blue heron fly by us equally enjoying the views and we think they are just as happy with island life as well. 

I painted this one to the crisp natural ragged/torn edges and is a perfect candidate to "float" frame.  Which means to lay the original painting on top of a mat that causes the painting to stand alone and float without it being behind a matte.  But of course the new owner can choose how they want to matte and frame this beauty.

I used Arches 300 lb watercolor cold press paper and used cerulean blue for the sky and ocean, raw umber and burnt sienna for the beach, heron is a combination of paynes gray, davys gray, ultramarine blue and sepia and titanium white.Prints available as well.
