A Very Blue Turtle, Original Fine Art Watercolor Painting, 20 x 26 FRAMED

This most handsome turtle just begged to be blue!  Love painting turtles as they are just so interesting with their leathery neck, hard shell with cool patterns, whimsical face and ever so perfect long, paddle shaped front flippers (which can span 9 feet).  This is a beloved species on Hilton Head Island and every year loggerhead sea turtles lay eggs on the grassy areas off the sandy beach, 2023 they laid 353 eggs!

I floated this painting exposing its natural deckled edges and using a classic white frame and acrylic front.  Ready to hand!

I used Arches 300 lb watercolor cold press paper and winsor & newton watercolor paints.

The background is pure white.  Some images may look like the background is darker, but it is pure white.
